Qnap TS-253D-4G NAS bay tower is equipped with an Intel Celeron J4125 quad-core 2.0 GHz CPU (with burst up to 2.7 GHz) to make storing and controlling of your data fast and hassle-free. Thanks to efficient hardware and software optimization, the CPU achieves read and write speeds of 225 MB/s.

Easy assembly
The bay contains two slots for 3.5-inch SATA 3 hard drives. The HDDs are accessible through an easy to hinged plate in the front. This NAS also contains one PCIe Gen2 x4 slot that can be used for an M.2 PCIe SSD for SSD cache acceleration or to add 5 Gigabit or 10 Gigabit Ethernet connection. ( these accessories are optional and are available separately).

Snapshots
This device has a Snapshots feature that fully records status and data, allowing to protect/backup files and data from accidental deletion or cyber-attack.

Redundant storage
The bay allows you to setup your HDDs in RAID 1 configuration to create data redundancy. This means that two HDD become an exact copy of each other, and so data transferred to HDD 1 is simultaneously mirrored to the HDD 2. It creates a safe-guard net for your data, as if HDD 1 fails, none of your data is lost as it is securely backed up on HDD 2. Intelliversioning technology keeps the most important file versions to better utilize storage space.
