The DiskStation DS918+ has been upgraded with a dual-core Intel Celeron 2.3 GHz CPU to make storing and controlling of your data fast and hassle-free. Thanks to efficient hardware and software optimization, the CPU achieves read and write speeds of 225 MB/s and 221 MB/ respectively. The tough AES-NI hardware encryption makes your data secured against any malicious threats.

Easy assembly
The DiskStation DS918+ contains four slots for 3.5-inch SATA 3 hard drives, with support of maximum 14 TB capacity for each HDD, or 56 TB in total. The HDDs are accessible through opening cover from the back, which is held in place by couple of screws. Additionally It also contains two slots for M.2 NVMe 2280 SSDs, which when installed aloow for faster system cache creation and soall-round smoother operation.

Redundant storage
DiskStation DS918+ allows you to setup your HDDs in RAID 1/5/6/10 configuration to create data redundancy. The RAID 1 means that two HDD become an exact copy of each other, and so data transferred to HDD 1 is simultaneously mirrored to the HDD 2. It creates a safe-guard net for your data, as if HDD 1 fails, none of your data is lost as it is securely backed up on HDD 2. The RAID 5/6/10 work on similar concept but are more suited for multiple HDD configuration. Intelliversioning technology keeps the most important file versions to better utilize storage space.

Bundled hard drives
Seagate IronWolf 3.5 inch internal hard drive is a powerful addition to your network attached storage. Each of the four included drives has large 4 TB storage capacity and is designed for continuous 24x7 operation in RAID arrays, multimedia servers or private cloud storage.
