    Toshiba RC500 internal M.2 PCIe NVMe SSD storage provides a great opportunity to increase speed of operation and overall responsiveness of your laptop or desktop. It comes in small form factor which makes it a handy solution for ultra-thin laptops or mini desktop units, and it offers higher shock resistance and lower power consumption than traditional spinning hard drives. The SSD uses PCIe interface with 4 lanes, allowing for extremely high sequential read and write speeds of up to 1700 MB/s and 1600 MB/s respectively, beating SATA SSD units by a high margin.

    Installation
    The SSD uses PCIe M.2 plug that connects to the respective M.2 key slot on your motherboard. The standardized length of the SSD is 80 mm.
